“I’m mom to two boys, both total hockey fanatics. Practically as soon as they could walk, they were taking skating lessons on their way to the NHL. Practising with Mom was a problem, though. I hadn't skated since I was a child — and I was terrible. But I vowed not to be the one who made them fall, so I signed up for lessons with my local parks and rec. I expected to be the only 30-something one there, but there were lots of adults just as wobbly as I was. I accomplished my goal of skating forwards — and backwards! — without falling down."
